With online proctoring, a remote proctor can supervise exams through a webcam and microphone, allowing food managers to take their exam at work or from the comfort of their own home.
This means that food managers no longer need to go to a testing center or have an in-person proctor supervise them while they take their exam.

Online proctoring is approved by ANSI and is a valid proctoring service for the ANSI-CFP Food Protection Manager Certification Exam in the United States.

Food managers register for their exam at statefoodsafety.com. Online proctoring is offered for all food manager products that include the exam.
If you need help preparing for the exam, you can complete StateFoodSafety's ANSI-accredited Food Safety Manager Training. Food managers that purchased the exam alone can skip this step.
Food managers will be able to schedule their exam session in advance or start a session as soon as they are ready by logging in to their StateFoodSafety account.
A proctor will monitor food managers via webcam and microphone throughout the exam to ensure the security of the exam. Examinees will have two hours to complete the exam.
Once food managers have passed the exam, they will receive an official digital version of their certificate via email that they can print. They can also access their certificate by logging in to their StateFoodSafety account.
